From the Ysgol Uwchradd Tywyn Newsletter
Mae Ysgol Uwchradd Tywyn bellach wedi derbyn statws ‘Di-blastig’!
Er mwyn cyflawni’r statws hwn, mae’r plant sy’n ffurfio ’Llais Y disgybl’ wedi gweithio’n eithriadol o galed i gwblhau llawer o dasgau gwahanol, rhai ohonynt yn cynnwys:
- lleihau/newid pum eitem blastig sydd ddim ond cael ei ddefnyddio unwaith o’n hysgol
- casglu sbwriel o amgylch yr ysgol, a herio’r diwydiant y mae’r sbwriel yn perthyn iddo
- ysgrifennu at ein haelodau seneddol lleol i ddarganfod sut y gallant ein helpu gyda’r mater pwysig hwn
- cynnal gwasanaeth ysgol, a pharhau i hyrwyddo’r ymgyrch hon drwy’r ysgol a’r cyfryngau cymdeithasol
Eleni, byddwn yn parhau â’r gwaith da, ac i ddatblygu unrhyw syniadau pellach. Hoffem ddiolch i’r disgyblion am eu holl waith caled, eu hymrwymiad, eu hegni a’u brwdfrydedd.

Tywyn High School has now been awarded ‘Plastic Free’ status!
In order to achieve this status, the children who form the ’Pupils’ Voice’ have worked extremely hard to complete many different tasks, some of which include:
- reduce/replace five single use plastic items around the school
- carry out a litter pick around the school and challenge the industry who the litter belongs to
- write to our local members of parliament to find out how they can help with this important issue
- hold a school assembly, and also promote the campaign through the school and social media
This year, we will continue the good work, and develop any further ideas. We would like to thank the pupils for all their hard work, commitment, energy and enthusiasm.
